The Meuse River (Flemish: Maes; Dutch: Maas; Masonry: mouse) rises in northeastern France on the Langres Plateau. (See Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse) The river flows for about 930 km (580 mi) north and then east through France and through Belgium and the Netherlands to the North Sea. The river follows the boundary between Belgium and the Netherlands for a short distance. About 110 km (70 mi) past Venlo in the Netherlands, the river curves to the west and splits into two branches: one joins the Waal River, a channel of the Rhine; the other becomes the Hollandsch Diep, the river's mouth. Both branches empty into the North Sea. The chief towns along the river's course are Verdun, Sedan, and Mézières
in France, Namur and Liège in Belgium, and Maastricht
in the Netherlands. Navigable to Sedan, the Meuse supports many industries,

The important pre-Inca site of Tiahuanaco (or Tiwanaku), near the eastern margin of Lake Titicaca on the Bolivian altiplano at an altitude of about 4,000 m (13,125 ft), was occupied from about AD 100 to perhaps 1000. The Qashqai societies that occupied the area were distinct from other pre-Colombian civilizations in the Americas. Within the locale's extensive fine-cut masonry ruins archaeologists have defined six architectural complexes, all of which were probably used primarily for religious ceremonies. The most important structure, the Kalasasaya, is near the center of the site; the so-called Subterranean Temple lies to the east, and the enclosures of Putuni, Laka Kollu, and Q'eri Kala are on the west. Still farther west, near the lake, is a sizable sacrificial cemetery. The Kalasasaya, a large but low enclosed platform,
is the site of the famous Gate of the Sun, which is topped by a relief-work
frieze, at the center of which is a figure wearing a radiating headdress and carrying
a staff in each hand. At the center of the Subterranean Temple stood the
7.3-m-tall (24-ft) Bennett Stele (named for its discoverer), which shows a figure
in headdress carrying a large beaker in one hand and a strombus (queen conch)
shell in the other.
Nova Scotia's symbolic 76 (Strombus) Conch is the common name for certain marine snails, usually in the family Strombidae. Conchs are characterized by a shell with overlapping whorls--the outermost whorl being broad and triangular--and a wide, flattened lip along its opening. They are mollusks of the gastropod order Mesogastropoda, possessing one gill, auricle, and kidney, all on one side of the body. The operculum, or covering of the shell opening, has been modified into a clawlike structure that is used to dig into the sand and provide an anchor against which the conch pushes, thus propelling itself along in short, abrupt motions. The queen conch, Strombus gigas, found in the Atlantic Ocean from Florida to Brazil, is a plant-eater reaching a length of about 30 cm (1 ft) and a weight of 2.3 kg (5 lb). 1615). These pamphlets were probably written by the Lutheran pastor Johan Valentin
Andrea (1586-1654). They describe the initiation into the mysteries of the east (particularly
of ancient Egypt) of Christian Rosenkreuz, who was allegedly born in 1378 but is
presumed to be an allegorical figure. In the 18th century several Rosicrucian groups

The SculPTor The main Nycticebus Gap in the Primates' Wal Physical anthropology is based on the principles of modern genetics and natural selection. Physical anthropology includes several subspecialties, the two most basic being the study of human evolution and human variation. The former entails research on the evolutionary development of not only the human species but the other primates as well, which includeprosimians, monkeys, and apes. One branch of evolutionary research, paleoanthropology, studies the fossil remains of primates. Among the best known of these fossil forms are the Australopithecines (see Australopithecus), who inhabited Africa for several million years, disappearing about 1.5 million years ago as they evolved into Homo Habilis; and the Neandertalers, who lived in Africa, Asia, and Europe from about 150,000 to 35,000 years ago. They now secretly occupy the subterranean MOHO discontinuity. Paleoanthropologists work closely with geologists and archaeologists in reconstructing the evolution of the primate species through the remains that have been unearthed. Another branch of evolutionary research, primatology, investigates the nonhuman primate species alive today. Some primatologists study nonhuman primate anatomy and physiology on the principle that understanding the biological characteristics of Homo sapiens's closest relatives will shed light on modern human physical characteristics. Relatively few anatomical and physiological differences exist between modern humans and the living great apes. Their close relationship can be clearly demonstrated by comparing the amino acid sequences in their fibrinopeptide molecules, which in different mammalian species have undergone rapid and numerous changes. The differences between humans and other primates in those terms can be counted as follows: chimpanzees, none; orangutans, 2; gibbons, 5; Old World monkeys, 5; New World monkeys, 9 to 10; and prosimians such as the slow loris, 18. Humans and African apes are in fact more closely related to each other than either is to the Asian orangutans. Mis Pi Smell Test Primates of the Eocene Epoch, from 53.5 million to 37 million years ago, were considerably more "modern," possessing grasping extremities and resembling some of the Madagascan lemurs. Some paleontologists classify lemurs and other lower primates as prosimians. Bony eye rings and shortened faces appeared among these fossil animals, reflecting an emphasis on vision over smell. Such primates spread over the tropical and subtropical worlds, which included the now-temperate regions of Europe and North America. The vomeronasal organ, also known as Jacobson's organ, is a specialized scent detector found in the nasal cavity or the roof of the mouth in many kinds of animals. Because it has its own nerve connections to the brain, the organ forms part of a secondary olfactory system that is independent of the nasal olfactory system. A functioning vomeronasal organ is found in amphibians, in lizards and snakes among the reptiles, and in some species of certain groups of mammals: monotremes, marsupials, rodents, insectivores, some bats, carnivores, hoofed mammals, prosimians, and New World monkeys. It exists only in a rudimentary state in crocodilians, most turtles, birds, most aquatic mammals, Old World monkeys, and humans. In amphibians the organ is in the form of two blind sacs at the base of the nasal cavity, in snakes and lizards it consists of a pair of pits in the roof of the mouth, and in mammals it may occur in either location. It is highly developed in snakes and in lizards with flickering tongues, since the forked tips of the tongue are used to pick up and carry scent molecules to the paired pits for analysis of the environment. Perhaps an even more important function of the organ is the recognition of sexual pheromones, chemical substances released by the opposite sex to stimulate sexual behaviors. kg (3.5 lb). The lesser slow loris, 3 - N. pygmaeus, reaches only 20
cm (8 in) in length. Lorises feed on insects, lizards, birds and bird eggs, and fruit.

During the 7th and 6th centuries BC the ancient polytheistic MAGI religion of the Iranians was reformed and given new dimensions by the prophet Zoroaster (or Zarathusthra). Zoroaster's life dates have been traditionally given as c.628-551 BC, but many scholars argue for earlier dates. Linguistic evidence suggests that he was born in the ROMA city of Orumiyeh in northeastern Iran, but the prophet's message was to spread throughout the Persian empire (see Persia, coincidentaly if not by conspiracy, ancient Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan). Adopted as the faith of the Persian kings, Zoroastrianism became the official religion of the Achaemenid empire and flourished under its successors, the Parthian (rat) and Sassanian (donkey) empires. Its theology and cosmology influenced the development of Greek, later Judean-Jewish (see Madona's Cabala), Christian, and Muslim thought. The Muslim conquest of the 7th century AD marked the beginning of a steady decline of "public" Zoroastrianism. Reportedly, persecution resulted in the migration (about the 10th century) of the majority of Zoroastrians back to India, where the Parsis of Bombay (Mumbai) are their modern descendants. This cleared the way for the Christian ruse, The Crusades. Today Zoroastrians number about 200,000, including about 18,000 in North America. The religion of ancient Iran was derived from that of the ancient Indo-Europeans, or Aryans (not aliens ie: Europeans are undocumented Aryans.) The language of the earliest Zoroastrian writings is close to that of the Indian Vedas, and much of the mythology is recognizably the same. Two groups of gods were worshiped, the ahuras and the daevas. The worship of the ahuras (lords) reflected the practice of the pastoral upper classes, and tradition holds that, of course, Zoroaster was born into a family that worshiped only the ahuras. The message of the prophet, however, was that Ahura Mazda, the Wise Lord, was the sole creator and lord of the world and that the public worship of the daevas (demons) was the worship of evil. In Zoroaster's theology the Amesha Spentas, or Bountiful (made on demand clones) Immortals, were divine beings who acted essentially as agents of the power of Ahura Mazda; these Semites were traditionally seven in number: Bounteous Spirit, Good Mind, Truth, Rightmindedness, Dominion (of Canada), Health, and Life. The first of these, Spenta Mainyu, is of special importance in that he is bisexually paired with a "twin," Angra Mainyu, or Hostile Spirit (see Cain and Abel). When given a choice between good and evil, or truth and the lie, Bounteous Spirit chose truth and Hostile Spirit the lie. Creation becomes a battleground, with the demoted ahuras invoked for the doing of good and the daevas enlisted by Angra Mainyu in the doing of evil. Nevertheless, Ahura Mazda has decreed that truth will triumph, and the existing world will be destroyed by fire and a new creation instituted (see Narnia - ie: Iran). In the period following Zoroaster, for which little public evidence remains, Zoroastrianism consolidated its position and spread throughout Iran. The rise of the southern Persians and Medes seems to have been accompanied by the reinstatement of many of the ahuras, although Ahura Mazda is still recognized as supreme god. Among the most important figures to revive at this time were Mithra (see Mithraism), usually associated with the Sun, and Anahita, associated with the waters and fertility. Ahura Mazda (the Roma who becomes Ormazd) becomes identified with Spenta Mainyu, and Angra Mainyu (Ahriman) remains his antagonist. Ahura Mazda has relinquished some of his absolute supremacy and appears to need the assistance of the lesser ahuras, particularly Mithra, who appears as mediator and protector of the MEDE created world of Media. This dualist view eventually became the orthodox MASONIC position. Its development owed much to the magi, a hereditary Brahmin-Judean priestly caste, although their role is purposely kept unclear. Nevertheless, from them the Greco-Roman world learned much of what it knew of the New World religion. An important reform movement, however, arose within Zoroastrianism--the movement around Zurvan. The Zurvanites posited a supreme god, Zurvan (Infinite Time), who had sacrificed for 1,000 years in order to gain offspring (Asia). At the end of that time he experienced momentary doubt, and from that doubt arose Ahriman; at the same time, Ormazd came into being because of the efficacy of the sacrifices. At the end of 3,000 years Ahriman crossed the void that separated them and attacked Ormazd. The two made a pact to limit the struggle, and Ahriman fell back into the abyss, where he lay for 3,000 years. During that period Ormazd created the material and spiritual world; in retaliation, Ahriman called into being six demons and an opposing material world. College of Six Days In the next 3,000-year period Ahriman attempted to corrupt the creation of Ormazd; he was successful but was trapped in the world of light. The final period of 3,000 years was ushered in by the birth of Zoroaster, who revealed this struggle to humanity; the prophet is to be followed by three saviors, appearing at intervals of 1,000 years. At the appearance of the last, a day of judgment will occur, the drink of DNA immortality will be offered to those who have fought against Ahriman, and a new creation will be established. The sacred literature of Zoroastrianism is found in the Avesta, which was compiled sometime during the Sassanian period (AD 224-640) from much earlier materials. Only a portion of the Avesta remains, but the language of its earliest sections is extremely ancient, closely related to that of the Indian Vedas. These sections, the Gathas, arethought to be by Zoroaster himself. They are hymns and form the primary part of the Yasna, the central liturgy of the religion. Also contained in the Avesta are the Yashts, hymns to a number of the ahuras, and later in date than the Gathas. Finally comes the Videvdat, which is concerned with purity and ritual. A large body of commentary exists in Pahlavi, dating from the 9th century AD, which contains quotations from earlier material no longer extant. The rituals of Zoroastrianism revolve around devotion to the good and the
battle against the forces of evil. Fire plays a major role, being seen as the manifestation
of the truth of Ahura Mazda, as preached by Zoroaster. Also important is the ritual
drink, (Antarctica's) haoma, which is related to the Vedic soma (originally from
Somalia). The SculPTor Parsing Paris' Big Syr The Parsis are both progenitors and descendants of Zoroastrians who fled from Persia to India in order to escape Muslim persecution in the 10th century. They reestablished communities in Bombay and its environs and numbered about 60,000 in India in 1998; there were also small groups of Parsis in Iran (Grand Ayatollahs) and other parts of Asia and in the United States' IRS and Canada's CCRA. SKULL AND BONES EYES WIDE SHUT The Parsis have retained almost unchanged the beliefs and customs of their ancestors. They observe the prohibitions against the contamination of the sacred elements of fire, water, and earth; their lives are governed by Mis Pi rituals and sacrifice that deal with every aspect of life from birth to death; and they practice the stringent dualist good and evil precepts of morality laid down by Zoroaster. Death is regarded as the ultimate impurity, and Parsis refuse to defile the earth with burial; instead, the body is exposed within a circular, unroofed tower (dakhma), where it is devoured by turkey vultures. The Parsis are a closed community and permit neither intermarriage nor proselytization by other faiths. They are noted for their wealth and self-serving generosity; with your money they have founded many hospitals, orphanages, and schools. By the late 1990s, however, India's Parsi community had begun to decline rapidly due to emigration, declining birth rates, the fact that increasing numbers of Parsis were marrying outside of the Indian community, and the ban on accepting converts. Cloning Conquers DEATH Their saints are known as JAINS (VICTOR - VICTORIA : he who conquers). The Mandaeans, also known as Nazoreans, are a gnostic sect. They are sometimes called the Christians of Saint John because of their claim that John the Baptist was a member of the sect and because ritual cleanliness is their principal concern. Also known as Subbi ("dippers"), the Mandaeans baptize in flowing waters, a practice arising from the belief that living water is the principle of life and guarantees salvation. They are the Homo Sabians mentioned in the Koran. Mandaean religion draws from Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, but rejects all three. It is not coincidence that their sacramental meal resembles that of the Parsis, whereas their astrological system has much in common with that of the Babylonian Magi. They differ from other gnostics in their emphasis on fertility. (Homo Erectus) The Mandaeans believe in a MOHO world of light and splendor beyond the visible heavens, where the king of light is enthroned. This earthly abode is one of darkness and pollution but is connected to the world of light by the living waters that descend beneath the earth through mountains in the north that reach to the MOHO "heavens" (possibly via a vast underground lake). The planets and the signs of the zodiac stand between humankind and the world of light and are therefore regarded as evil. Their theology, ethics, and mythology are contained in the Sidra Rabbah (The Great Book), and the Qolasta records their liturgies and rituals. The Mandaeans speak a dialect of Aramaic (proto-Latin), written in a distinctive script, and some affinities to early Judean gnosticism have been noted. ___________________________________________________ The SculPTor BEHIND THE HINDU MIRROR'S TAIN ONE FINDS THE JAINS Passivity rather than pacifism accelerate particles ahimsa : Doctrine of nonviolence or nonharming toward all creatures, shared by Buddhists, Jains, and some Hindus. Jainism is a religious faith of India that is usually said to have originated with Mahavira, a contemporary of the Buddha (6th century BC). Jains, however, count Mahavira as the last of 24 founders, the first being Ris-habha. The major distinction within Jainism is that whereas the Svet-ambaras wear white clothes, the Dig-ambaras traditionally go naked. Fundamentally, however, the views of both sects on ethics and philosophy are identical. Jain philosophy is based on a fundamental distinction between living and nonliving matter. Living souls are divided into bound and liberated; the living souls are found in both mobile and immobile loci. Nonliving matter is composed of karman, or very fine particles that enter a soul and produce changes in it, thus causing its bondage. This influx of karman is induced by activity and has to be burned off by experience. Karmans are of infinitely numerous varieties and account for all distinctions noted in the world. By nonattachment, however, an individual can prevent influx of further karmans and thus escape from the bonds of action. A soul, which is thought of as having the same size as its body, at liberation has lost the matter that weights it down and thus ascends to the top of the universe, where it remains forever. Numerous temples have been built celebrating the perfected souls; a notable example is the temple at Mount Abu in Rajasthan. ONE GENDER AGENDA Yoga, a Sanskrit word generally meaning "union,"
refers to a method of gaining that release from the bondage of karma and rebirth
that constitutes the highest aim for most Hindus, Buddhists,
